Well thank fuck for that! Got back from work and setting up S's email accounts to find letters from both Teeside court and Leeds council, the former returning my endorsed licence (6 points and 150 quid fine) and the latter stating that I had to provide them with my tax disc details for them to investigate further into whether the parking ticket I supposedly got was correct or not. Huh? Surely they could just take a photo? Stranger and stranger...
However, I'm ecstatic about only paying 150 quid as a fine for such a major aberration. Oddly I've received a letter stating that the court has ordered my licence to be endorsed and they were returning it duly endorsed. A study of my licence shows the fine was 150 quid but that's it. How do I pay the fine? Who to? How difficult would it have been to provide details as well? Not that I'm complaining - I deserved six points and I guess my almost perfect driving record must have counted for something.
Either that or 150 quid in a year's salary on Teeside... :)
So, still working for the next couple of days but have developed something rather cool so don't feel bad about demanding payment. Leaves me saturday to buy travel books and do washing and stuff. Somewhere in there I need to include going for a meal with girl 1 and her ex, seeing my Dad and stepmum, getting royally rat-arsed at least once and sort out a will in case I come back with bird flu :)
Oh yeah, and work out where in foreign climes I shall be watching the spurs matches while I'm away. There's priorities, and then there's priorities....
