It's been a while but I've been mega-busy since I got back. Well okay, I've been sleeping until at least noon every day but it takes a lot out of a person being oop north y'know - I need plenty of recovery time.

So what's been happeneing? I had an interview for a job in Chippenham on Monday afternoon which seemed to go well. It was a tiny company though and something didn't seem right. I found out what it was on Tuesday evening when I finally got hold of my pimp. It turns out that they're interviewing in parallel with bidding for work so, yes, they want me to work for them once they win the work which they should hear about this week. Great. I inform my pimp again that Friday is my cut-off time for booking my holiday. He says he'll see what he can do.

Last night I got a call directly from the company saying that if they won the work tomorrow (um, today) then they'd want me to start on Monday. I mentioned my holiday that my pimp had neglected to tell them about. Hmmm, now this work is only about a month so would I be interested in shortening my holiday (no), delaying my holiday (no) or squeezing a contract in before I go (possibly).

So that's where I am - rather than having a relaxing three weeks off before going on holiday it looks like I'll be working my arse off on a short contract trying to cram four weeks of work into three. It's all money I suppose...

The extra business idea with U is taking shape nicely and if there's no job at this place in chippenham then I'll throw myself into this one instead. I've given up caring to be honest!

I also started my football management course on Monday and that's going to take up quite a lot of my spare time for the rest of Feb but it all looks manageable, certainly not difficult (so long as I can get over my nerves of speaking in front of groups because it looks like you get assessed by putting the other candidates through a training session while the assessors watch you). The next part is the emergency aid module which someone scheduled for Valentine's evening. Obviously someone single and with an evil sense of humour :)

I did, however, finally get my summons for speeding. I've pleaded guilty in absence (as there's no point in attending court to then plead guilty as they may take my licence away and then my car would be stuck in Middlesbrough for a while) and have had to fill in the form detailing my income (so that they can make the fine hurt depending on your circumstances). Thanks to them waiting six months to prosecute I'm now unemployed and earning nothing. Hopefully this means the fine will be small. Somehow I doubt it. Six points and a grand's fine is what I'm expecting. Anything less is a bonus!

I think that's it. Lunchtime... :)

Dude I got 450 quid and 6 points a year back or so - so a grand should be loads more than you get. I also got another 3 points today for 36mph. Doh.
