Well we have a new Prime Minister. Not that anyone is going to notice much difference (Yay! Let's split the Department of Trade and Industry into the Department of Trade and the Department of Industry! That way we can hire more civil servants and waste more money! Yay!)

Not that the Conservatives are much better (Yay! We stand for pointless comments of no substance! And no policies! And nice hair! And doing whatever they're doing over there! Well, in fact, we wanted the Department of Industry and the Department of Trading, but whatever you said Gordon! Yay!)

And Blair is a middle-east envoy (on behalf of whom exactly? :-S). That's one of the most stupid ideas ever. It appears he's ideal for the job because the Israeli's see him as 'objective'. I think that's because when they dropped over a million cluster bomblets over civilian areas of southern Lebanon, our Tone said 'Now chaps, a bit less of that eh?'

I mean, the middle-east. An area with absolutely no history of tribal blood-fueds going back three generations over something as minor as whose camel looked at whose donkey on a Tuesday, an area that doesn't have one nation ruled by a Theocracy that has kept a death-warrant in place for two decades against an author who maybe said something that might be misconstrued as being blasphemous.

And all Blair did was invade one country in the area that resulted in over 100,000 civilian deaths. But that's okay because, as Tony himself tells us, now is the time to look forward not backwards (subtext - 'Please don't prosecute me for war crimes. Pretty please.')

I love that excuse. I even loved it when he tried it on the British public after the fiasco following invasion. I liken it to me going round his house with a baseball bat when he's watching Big Brother with his trout-faced wife, smashing up his telly, then sitting on his sofa saying 'I know you're upset, but that happened over ten seconds ago and we have to stop looking back and move forward *makes hand gesture like the hand pony jumping a fence*. Now, how about a cuppa?'

Anyway, enough ranting ;)
