Good god, it's been a while! Not managed to get photos up here yet as the internet is free in the hotel (good) but the USB socket it bust (bad). They hope to have it fixed tomorrow....

Drum & Bass night. Hmmm. The bits I remember were great, they are however, somewhat isolated memories. I spent Saturday doing the coastal walk from Bondi down to Coogee (and had a beer or three at the Coogee Bay Hotel) and then met up with foreign girl 1 at about 8 before we went to the student union where the event was. After blagging my way through security (as hadn't bought my passport with me and had no other photo ID) we got there a bit late for the bbq and only managed to get a couple of chicken wings each. This was swiftly followed by about 20 pints of beer. I even danced.

I left at 2am to go home. At 4am I was kicked awake by the security at Star City (a big casino here) while sitting in front of the big screen. I have no idea how I got there, where I was, or what the half pint of beer in front of me was. Luckily the spurs match kicked off about five minutes later. And we won :)

I got back to the hotel at 6:30am.

Sunday, I slept.

Monday I went to the zoo and got a bit worried that I hadn't heard from foreign girl 1 since saturday night and she wasn't replying to texts. Got a bit worried I'd done something stupid (and there's a long, long, list of things I have done or could've done which were stupid) and pissed her off. Luckily she'd just had her bag stolen at the D&B night (luckily for me obviously) and had lost her phone. Zoo was cool (saw a platypus - looks like an otter after a lucky escape with a mangle) and last night I went to a comedy club just along Oxford Street where the compere was Welsh, the first act was Welsh, the other act was aussie but lived in Brighton and half the audience were from the UK. Aussies don't do humour? Naaaaaaaaaaahhhhh....

Today I met up with foreign girl 1 (ah, email, we love you) and her mate Jo and wandered around the Rocks (old part of Sydney), went to the Museum of Contemporary Art (odd) and took a ferry to Manly to see the beach. Then we went to her cousin's place in Balmoral for a block party (sort of like inviting all the neighbours and friends) where we had some great food and chatted to some top people - including one guy Ben from New Zealand who planned next week for me because he used to work at the tourist board there!

Tomorrow is my last day here so I'll go for coffee with foreign girl 1 for the last time (sniff) and then probably go to the aquarium. Oh, and try to add some photos!
