I just saw an old stand-up routine by a comedian called Frankie Boyle (here he is in all his gingerness):

He opened his act with the following gag:-

"Do you remember years ago when they were making Braveheart and everyone said 'Oh it's ridiculous Mel Gibson playing a scottish guy, that's not going to be very convincing!'

And look at him now.....

.....an alcoholic racist."

Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! Hats off sir! :)

Someone I know keeps comparing me to Frankie Boyle.

Okay, I'm a woman and not from Glasgow but apparently I have the same piss-taking, dry sense of humour.

Mind you, the guy who compared me to The Boyle is, in fact, a mental health nurse, so what that says about his judgement I don't know.

That's a cool person to be compared to though :)

I've never been compared to anyone famous as far as I'm aware. Probably for the best actually....

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

That's me ;-)
