Avon Fire & Rescue Service has a hovercraft. Look:
It's for the mudflats in the Bristol channel. They spent £90,000 on it. Good-o.
Why then is it sitting on a car trailer IN THE MIDDLE OF FECKING BRISTOL? The coast is miles away. Miles and miles. It'd take at least an hour to deploy, so why not store it by the coast? Or is that too radical? Weirdos.... :-S
(I know this because I currently work next door to their headquarters and see it every lunchtime.)
We came 4th in the quiz last night, and all the girls hid in their corner, didn't go to the bar and never mingled. Bunch of swots. Grrrrr. :-/
I did meet the nice German barmaid though - she comes from the same town that I studied at in Germany so we chatted all night seeing as my team were all 6 pints down before the quiz started and proceeded to drink at least another 5 during the quiz. Basically I came 4th on my own.
Yeah.
Tonight was pottery pick-up night after last term and my board-game pieces were finally glazed. I've tried to take pictures but digital zoom is rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrubish. The are (supposed to be anyway) a Knight (with most of his helmet and part of his shield missing during firing, booooo), a snake, a monk-type person, a tower (you can't see the brickwork but it's really good, honest) and a sort of sceptre thing holding an orb.
They're all about two inches high and took ages to do. The photos make them look shit though :(
I think I might go back to making bowls... :(

You may have to label the figurines; which one is which?
Think the monk and the knight look cool. Worried about scale on the tower, though i guess castles and knights in chess are a bit screwed too. Now all we need is an animated film featuring these pieces...
Token - bugger off and get back to sucking the corporate cock!
Thanks, whomever anonymous is :)
Hey, they look pretty good!
Thanks weenie!
