Further to yesterday's post:
I worked at company A (now sadly defunct) from 1997-1999, and my one brief 5 month stop in Bristol (in 7 years of being a contractor) for company B in 2005. The managing director of company B (plus 2 other staff) had worked for company A in 2002. Both companies never employed more than 20 people at any one time.
Today I found out that our senior analyst lives next door to one of the people who worked for company B, plus had been for an interview at company A in 2004. One of the other contractors had worked for the manager of company B when they were at a major high street bank together in 2001, plus had worked for company A and been for an interview at company B. The third contactor had worked for company B before I joined there. The technical lead guy had been for interviews at both company A and company B. Yet none of the six people in the team had ever crossed paths before.
The world isn't just small, it's fucking tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny......
