Despite my dislike of christmas I've allowed* girl1 to have a tree this year - only we don't have space in the living room at the moment. In a rather nifty compromise my Tasmanian Blue Gum has now reached 8ft (seeing as I grew it from seed I'm rather proud of it) so we've hung lights on that instead. It looks quite christmassy despite not being a pine tree, as you can see from this picture of me watching Ice Station Zebra (can't beat a classic on a friday night!):


My window appears to have caught some sort of lurgee though.


*in that I grumbled less this year when she did it anyway.
