It's friday afternoon with only three and a bit hours to go before the long drive home. Hopefully today will not be disrupted by idiots protesting about the cost of fuel - I think they're confined to Wales. Best place for them....

They did provide me with some amusement though today. According to the radio on the way in to work this morning the 'go-slow' protestors (who go slowly because to stop would be illegal) were, in fact, stopped by the police and told to go faster. So, to stop these people holding up traffic the police halted 60 vehicles on the motorway. Genius!

Do you have to be thick to work for the police in this country? Is it part of the application process or something?
